Pacific Region's new Pacific Region Habitat webpages Working Near Water in BC and Yukon
http://www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/habitat/index-eng.htm is now live and ready for use.You will note four main areas on the homepage to serve different client needs (starting from top of page to the bottom):
For the public wanting to learn about what DFO does in general, links at the top of the webpage connect to National webpages (e.g. About Us).
For public not familiar with the site, the three question marks are to segregate our main 3 client streams to links that meet their needs (e.g. Reporting damage to fish or fish habitat). For our referral clients the first question links to Habitat's Project Review Process page in stepwise detail, including use of Operational Statements, the new Project Review Application Form, and on to
Authorization requests. For clients or Habitat staff that know what they are looking for, the six Quick Links near the bottom provide ready access to commonly sought webpages (e.g. Guidelines, Operational Statements, the revised Timing Windows, etc.)
For updates, the section at the bottom provides recent additions to the pages.
